Tuition & Financial Assistance
At the Harbert College of Business, we believe in high-quality, affordable education.
Assistantships
Each of our PhD programs offer a number of graduate assistantships. This way you can earn your degree without having to worry about finances. These assistantships, which typically require you to teach your own classes or assist a professor, provide a monthly stipend and tuition waiver. That way, you’re only left responsible for minimal university fees and the cost of books. Explore the pages below to see more details on assistantships.
FUNDING
Incoming students are typically offered a graduate assistantship (GA) that includes a monthly stipend and waived tuition. The assistantship is renewable for up to five years with satisfactory annual progress.
Other sources of funding (i.e., summer funding) can bring the total stipend to $35,000 per year.
Exceptional candidates are eligible for competitive Presidential Awards that carry additional stipends of $15,000 for the first three years.
Policies & Procedures Manual
