Study abroad with some of the best in business

School of Accountancy Summer Study Abroad Program

The School of Accountancy (SoA) Summer Study Abroad Program offers accounting majors and minors (and other business majors) a unique opportunity to complete required coursework, enhance their resume with a valuable international experience, and develop deep relationships with other members of the SoA community, all while studying abroad in two exciting European cities: Rome, Italy and/or Madrid, Spain. In addition to the program residency locations, students will have opportunities to visit other international destinations during travel weekends and the summer break week.

The 2025 program has 3 options:

        • Full Program, Rome + Madrid
        • Rome Only Program
        • Madrid Only Program

Participants in the Full Program will spend roughly five weeks in Summer I attending classes abroad in Rome and Madrid. They will also enjoy a summer break week during which they can explore other European destinations. Participants in the Rome Only or Madrid Only Programs will spend roughly two weeks attending a class abroad in Rome or Madrid. The coursework abroad is spread out so students have a manageable academic load. This allows for completion of the academic portion of the program, while also providing students with enough time to experience and explore Europe. The Summer II coursework is online/asynchronous, allowing participants to explore other exciting European destinations or to return home to spend time with family and friends. Participants may take up to five classes (15 credit hours) in the program.
