        Professional Activities

        Alderman has published over 40 articles in such journals as The Journal of Accountancy, the CPA Journal, Advances in Accounting, and Auditing: A Journal of Theory and Practice. In 1984, he served as an academic fellow at the Auditing Standards Division of the American Institute of CPAs. He has also served on the Board of Examiners (CPA Exam) and on its various subcommittees.

        He has co-authored two textbooks in auditing and accounting information systems. He has served as a consultant to various CPA firms and the banking industry and has taught CPE courses in approximately 40 states over his career. He has also received several university and college teaching awards and currently serves on the board of several privately held companies as well as AuburnBank (AUBN).
