        Biography

Carrie Belsito brings a wealth of academic and practical HR knowledge to her role as lecturer in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Auburn University.  Before joining the Harbert College of Business, she held academic positions at institutions across the Midwest, Mountain West, and most recently, the South where she has been able to cultivate a robust network of industry partners and alumni throughout the United States.

In addition to consulting, where she has helped companies tackle HR-related issues, her research delves into strategic human resource management issues that affect organizational outcomes, including recruitment, retention, and performance.

Carrie’s interest in HR isn’t just theoretical; she is also SHRM-CP certified and has been involved with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for decades – first as a student and later serving as a faculty advisor for several student SHRM chapters.  Fun fact: as an undergraduate student, Carrie was a member of a three-person team from California State University, Fresno that went on to win a National Championship at the HR Games in San Francisco sponsored by SHRM.
