        Professional Activities

        Key's research interests are primarily in the areas of earnings management, the effect of taxes on asset prices, and state taxation. Her work has been published in journals including Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of the American Taxation Association, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Education, and several tax practice related journals.

        Key has taught several tax courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels including individual taxation, entity taxation, and taxes and business strategy. She has received three School of Accountancy teaching awards and is an active member of the American Taxation Association. For the 2011–2012 academic year she was a visiting scholar at the University of Ulsan in South Korea.
