        Professional Activities

        Taryn comes to the Harbert College of Busines from St. Cloud State University, where she spent the last two years pursuing her master’s degree and working in the University’s Career Center as the Employment Services and Outreach Graduate Assistant.  In the role, she worked with employers, assisted in developing and implementing career fairs and employer engagement events.  In addition, she spent the past year at the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities, College of Liberal Arts Career Services office, as a Career Counselor Graduate Intern.  In the role, she coached students, co-instructed a career development course, and created/implemented career development programming events.  Prior to pursuing her MS, she found her passion for working in career services while attending The College of St. Scholastica and working in the College’s Career Services office for almost two years.

        Taryn co-presented at the 11th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference at St. Cloud State University in January 2020. The presentation focused on the benefits and power of internships and experiential learning opportunities for students.  In addition, she spoke about her own personal experience self-designing an internship and the impact an internship had on her career trajectory.
