Auburn University’s Master of Accountancy (MAcc) Program is ranked fourth nationally among online masters in accounting degree programs for 2015, according to the website Online Accounting
Degree Programs. The ranking was released on Friday, Jan. 23.
“The success of our online MAcc is attributable to having great faculty and great
students -- and the fact that Auburn’s Harbert College of Business is known for the quality of its online programs, as well as for its innovative course
delivery,” said Auburn MAcc Director Amy Murphy, whose program recently earned a No. 6 national ranking from U.S. News & World Report for 2015.
Schools were ranked by the Online Accounting Degree Programs site based on AACSB accreditation
and the level of recognition the school has received from three of the most heralded
ranking services: Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, and the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
The website’s release states, “The online Master of Accountancy program at Auburn
impresses on many levels … The program, while flexible to accommodate working adults,
can also be completed in just one year by ambitious students willing to put in the
work. Most important, the online program is just as rigorous, challenging, and rewarding
as the traditional program.”
Why do students choose Auburn’s MAcc program? Murphy explained.
“The Auburn MAcc is separately accredited by AACSB International, students receive
the same instruction and AACSB accredited degree as their on-campus peers, and the
program’s CPA exam pass rates are among the highest in the country,” she said. “Students
are looking for quality, and they know they’ll get it in the Auburn MAcc Program.”
