The Harbert College of Business School of Accountancy's graduate programs recently earned recognition for their quality and affordability from a pair of educational websites – Accounting Degree Review and Master’s in Accounting Degrees. Accounting Degree Review placed Auburn fifth on its list of Top 25 Online Masters in Accounting Degree Programs.  Auburn ranked 28th on Master’s in Accounting Degrees’ list of the nation’s 30 Top Affordable Master’s in Accounting/Master of Accountancy Degree Programs. The website Master’s in Accounting Degrees based Auburn’s ranking on its “emphasis on research and communications skills,” as well as the program’s ability to position students for success on the CPA Exam. The MAcc program’s 2014 class averaged an 80 percent or better pass rate on all four sections of the CPA exam – well above the national average. National pass rates for first-time CPA Exam participants range from 44 to 59 percent. Since 2005, MAcc students have been required to take the Auburn Becker CPA Review Course before sitting for all four parts of the CPA Exam prior to graduation.
