Harbert Dean and Wells Fargo Professor Bill Hardgrave expressed the importance of academia's relationship with industry in a recent interview.

Harbert College of Business Dean and Wells Fargo Professor Bill Hardgrave stressed the importance of academia connecting to industry during a recent interview in London with European CEO Magazine.

“… I have a great appreciation for the need for partnerships between industry and academia,” he said during the five-minute interview. “And frankly, I think business schools over the past couple of decades have drifted away from those partnerships and I believe strongly that we’ve got to get those partnerships back. We’ve got to become one with industry.

“I believe that in the long run these partnerships with industry and their relationships with industry will set the great business schools apart from just the good business schools.”

Harbert College earned recognition as European CEO Magazine’s Best Executive Remote Learning Program in North America for 2012.
