The website College Choice recently identified the Harbert College as an institution that is “leading the way” in human resource management education.

Best Human Resource DegreesHarbert earned a No. 16 ranking in College Choice’s assessment of the Best Bachelor’s in Human Resources Degrees. The college’s undergraduate human resource management program earned 98.4 points out of a possible 100.

College Choice examined each program’s national reputation and the potential return on investment for students. The rankings are based, in part, on a nationwide survey of college freshmen published by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA, which examined academic reputation, tuition costs, financial aid offerings, graduate success rates in the post-college job markets. The website also weighed data collected by U.S. News & World Report, PayScale.com and the National Center for Education Statistics.

Harbert’s human resource management program prepares students for careers related to recruitment, selection and retention of talent, as well as training and career development, performance appraisal, compensation and promotion systems, HR planning, benefits and employee/labor relations. Industry demand for talented human resource professionals is expected to increase nearly 10 percent by 2024, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
