Harbert College welcomed several new faculty members to its Fall Semester lineup.

Jeremy Mackey, Assistant Professor in Management
Hometown: Norfolk, Va.
Education: B.S. in Business Administration from Virginia Tech in 2010. Major in finance, minors
in business leadership, leadership and social change; PhD in Business Administration
from Florida State University in 2015 with focus on organizational behavior and human
resource management

Primary research areas: Interpersonal mistreatment, abusive supervision, and meta-analysis
Hobbies: Soccer, cars, and motorcycles
Lei Huang, Assistant Professor in Management
Hometown: China
Education: Nanjing University of Finance & Economics (2005), Cleveland State University (2008),
University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2015)
Where did you work before coming to Auburn? PhD student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Primary research areas: Leadership, employee voice and creativity in organizations, positive self-concept
Hobbies: Karate (black belt and certified coach), travel, photography, fishing
Terry Self, Adjunct instructor in Management
Hometown: Birmingham
Education: BA in journalism from Alabama (1972), Masters in MSHRM from Troy University (2012)
I can yell “Roll Tide” and “War Eagle” with the best of them! I may have attended
Alabama but, as the saying goes, “My money has gone to Auburn” through my husband’s
and son’s education.
Where did you work before coming to Auburn? Retired from BellSouth in 2000

Dora Bock, Assistant Professor in Marketing
Hometown: Eau Claire, Wisc. Education: University of Wisconsin - La Crosse (B.S. - business administration with a marketing
concentration-2006); Louisiana State University (PhD 2012) Where did you work before coming to Auburn?: Before entering the PhD program at LSU, I worked in retail store management at Macy's,
and was also a replenishment analyst at Menard's. After earning my PhD, I worked as
an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Georgia Southern University. Primary research areas: Consumer emotions, relationship marketing, and consumer decision making Hobbies: Playing tennis, watching football, and going to the beach!
Khaled Amira, Visiting Assistant Professor in Finance
Hometown: Tunis, Tunisia
Education: B.S. in economics, University of Tunis, 1984; MBA in International Business, George
Washington University, 1989; M.S. in Finance and Economics, University of Maryland,
1993; PhD in Finance, George Washington University, 1999
Where did you work before coming to Auburn? Visiting Assistant Professor at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University
Primary research areas: Corporate finance and investment
Hobbies: “My hobby is playing soccer. I played in Tunisia in college and on a team. I also
played in a northern Virginia (Arlington) league where my team won the championship
in 1993-94. I still play. I am married and have two young boys.”
