New research avenues connected to college and professional athletics have opened up
thanks to advances in wearable technology, video analytics and the implementation
of "Moneyball" strategies.
Business analytics expert Dave Schrader will address these topics and more on Monday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to noon in Lowder 402. The session is open to Auburn University faculty and doctoral students.
Dr. Schrader retired from Teradata Corporation after serving as director of strategy
and marketing. During his career, Schrader helped Teradata customers understand how
to strategically use big and traditional data to create predictive models and analytic
insights for strategic and operational employees and systems.
Schrader holds a PhD in computer science from Purdue University. He joined Teradata
in 1991 and held a variety of positions in its Engineering - Advanced Development
group until joining its Marketing team in 1998.
