The Southern Public Relations Federation honored the work of the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business’ communications and marketing team during its recent conference in New Orleans.
Harbert College earned a pair of Lantern Awards – SPRF’s highest honor – for tactical materials and projects. The first award recognized the college’s re-branding efforts in the wake of a $40 million naming gift from 1982 alumnus Raymond J. Harbert, while the second honored its alumni publication, Harbert Magazine. Harbert Magazine is produced in partnership with the Auburn University Media Production Group.
Communications Editor Joe McAdory earned an Award of Merit for public relations writing, while Director of Communications and Marketing Troy Johnson earned two Certificates of Merit in the same category.
SPRF is a network of public relations practitioners from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and North Florida. The organization’s members represent public relations and marketing agencies, non-profits, universities, corporations and governmental entities.
