Auburn University’s War Eagle Flying Team recently earned a National Safety Award at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s SAFECON 2013 competition in Columbus, Ohio.

Team members David Hoebelheinrich and Andrew McManus placed fourth in the Crew Resource Management event. The War Eagle Flying Team placed 16th overall out of 30 teams. Hoebelheinrich and McManus are seniors in aviation management and accounting, respectively.

Team President and aviation management senior Blake Schuette and the rest of the squad are now preparing to host the 2013-14 Region IX competition in Auburn this fall.  More information about the War Eagle Flying Team can be found at www.wareagleflyingteam.com.
