December 13, 2023 By Colby Lakas

Spring 2024 applications are now open for Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) & the Rising Accountant & Analyst Program (RAAP)! Eligible students received a personalized link via email, or can email Mrs. Lakas to obtain the appropriate link. Applications & Handshake profiles for BAP are due by 8 AM on Tuesday, January 9th (interviews take place the first week of classes) and RAAP application materials are due by 8 AM on Friday, January 12th.

If you are not already involved with Beta Alpha Psi, we invite you to apply this term. Beta Alpha Psi is a national honorary and service organization widely recognized as the first and foremost student organization for accounting majors. Beta Alpha Psi is the ULTIMATE pathway to internship and full-time employment opportunities in the accounting field. It is through our meetings and recruiting events that you learn about the profession and connect with accounting professionals, a.k.a. future employers. It is the best way to market yourself to potential employers and you are guaranteed to learn something in the process, too.

To qualify for membership in Beta Alpha Psi, you must have:

        • Completed ACCT 2110 Principles of Financial Accounting at Auburn University with a “B” or better (and be enrolled in ACCT 5110 Intermediate Accounting I), as well as maintain a minimum 3.0 ungapped overall GPA,

        OR

        • Completed ACCT 5110 Intermediate Accounting I with an ungapped overall, upper level, and accounting GPA (GPA calculator is linked here) greater than or equal to a 3.0**

**If you've completed any UL courses, you must qualify under this option. Transfer students must complete two upper-level accounting courses at Auburn with at least a 3.0 GPA.

If you have not registered for or completed ACCT 5110, you should apply for the Rising Accountant & Analyst Program, the precursor organization for BAP.

Meetings are held on Tuesday nights from 6-7 PM and attendance is required. BAP candidates also need to complete six BAP service hours throughout the semester to be initiated. Further information will be provided to all accepted RAAP applicants on Tuesday, January 16th at 4:30 PM and BAP applicants at 5:30 PM.

**Existing BAP members do not need to reapply, but returning RAAP members do.**
