The College of Agriculture is looking to fill two Contract and Grant Specialist positions. These positions will primarily assist faculty members with proposal and budget reviews and submissions. These full-time opportunities require a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advising faculty and administration on procedures and approving contract and grant related documents to ensure proper and timely accounting and contractual agreements
- Serve as liaison between departmental and central offices to ensure proper submission of proposals and ensure compliance with university and sponsor guidelines and cost accounting standards
- Serve as a point of contact for pre-award grant activity in the college and submit grants on behalf of the college
- Promote and coordinate grant opportunities, workshops, and training for faculty
- Provide customer service to faculty, staff, administration, and sponsors on pre-award activity
- Provide periodic contract and grant reports; prepare extramural cover forms
- Maintain data for funded projects and activities
- Support the Associate Dean for Research and other research staff in providing grantsmanship and research-related trainings to faculty, staff and students
- Perform other duties as assigned
