        GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy

        The Auburn Full-Time MBA program will waive the GMAT/GRE test score under the following criteria:

        Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and:

        • 2+ years of experience* AND 3.50+ GPA
        • 4+ years of experience* AND 3.25+ GPA
        • 6+ years of experience* AND 3.0+ GPA
        • 8+ years of experience* (This level of experience also qualifies you for the Executive MBA program. Please schedule an appointment to discuss the program options available to you.)
        • Terminal Degree (Those with a MD or DO degree also qualify for the Physicians Executive MBA program. Please schedule an appointment to discuss the program options available to you.)

        *Experience is defined as professional, full-time and post-undergraduate or military experience.

        Additional waiver requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Waiver requests can be completed online; however, it is advised to schedule an appointment with an admissions advisor in advance of submitting your request. 

        For Full-Time MBA applicants, a competitive GMAT/GRE test score is encouraged for both Graduate Assistantship and scholarship consideration.

        Important to note: Being granted a GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.

        Admission Requirements

        Auburn MBA Programs accommodate students with undergraduate degrees in all disciplines. The GMAT or GRE is required for all applicants except those with a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, JD, etc.) or those that meet the criteria above. The GMAT is the preferred admissions test. However, if you have already completed the GRE, Auburn MBA Programs and the Admissions Committee will take this into consideration and review your score. 

        Required Documentation

        We encourage you to start your application as early. Keep in mind that you can complete your application over time as you acquire the items and information below:

        1. Current résumé
        2. Unofficial transcripts for all colleges and universities attended -- Official transcripts are required if you are accepted and choose to enroll in the program.  
        3. Minimum of two letters of recommendation 
        4. Personal statement
        5. Official GMAT or GRE score if available or seek a waiver for GMAT or GRE -- Official scores should be sent directly from the testing agency. 
        6. Official TOEFL or IELTS score (International students only)

        Application Procedure

        Applications for admission to the Full-Time MBA program are managed by the Auburn Graduate School. To apply, you will be required to complete the Auburn Graduate School Application.

        1. Send your official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score to Auburn University. The GMAT/GRE may be waived according to criteria above. 
        2. Begin your application by creating an account for the online Graduate School Application.
        3. Upload to the application all required admissions documents listed above (i.e., current résumé, unofficial transcripts, and letters of recommendation).
        4. Selected Full-Time MBA candidates will be invited for an on-campus interview. Candidates interview in-person with Auburn MBA Programs and Graduate Career Services staff. Online interviews can be conducted at the discretion of the admissions committee. 
        5. Once an official admissions decision is made, you will receive notification from Auburn MBA Programs and the Auburn Graduate School. You must both accept our offer of admission and pay a $450 confirmation fee to secure a spot in the upcoming class.
        6. The final step is to enroll in classes for the semester.

        Fall 2025 Application Deadlines

        The Full-Time MBA experience begins each fall semester. Applications will be accepted until established deadlines while space is available. It is advised that you submit your completed application and all required documentation early to be considered for your preferred entry term.

        * Completed Application - A completed application includes all required documents. In order to be considered complete, all required documents must be received by the date listed. 

        ** Round 3 - All applicants that have a completed application by February 15 will be given priority consideration for tuition assistance and graduate assistantships. 

        *** Final Deadline - Applicants who have a completed application after February 15 will be considered for tuition assistance and graduate assistantships as funding allows.
