Executive Director Frank Oprandy leads the highly ranked Executive MBA, Physicians Executive MBA, and Master of Real Estate Development programs at the Harbert College of Business. Earlier in his Harbert career, he established and led Graduate Career Services, which provides career search and professional development support for the college’s full-time and online MBA programs, specialty master’s degrees, and graduate executive programs.
A Fulbright recipient, Oprandy holds a BS in Economics from the United States Military Academy, an MBA (EMBA) from the Harbert College of Business, and both an MISE and PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University. His research focuses on modeling risk management in U.S. bank holding companies.
Before transitioning to higher education, he spent over 17 years in corporate leadership roles at companies such as American Express, General Electric, and HCA. His expertise spans finance, business analytics, Six Sigma process improvement, and healthcare administration. Oprandy also served for more than five years as a commissioned officer and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, deploying with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
A New Jersey native, he has lived in Auburn with his family for over 20 years and enjoys hiking, kayaking, exploring Presidential Libraries, and attending Auburn sporting events.
