Executive Director Frank Oprandy leads the highly ranked Executive MBA, Physician’s Executive MBA and Master of Real Estate Development degree programs in the Harbert College of Business. Earlier in his Harbert career, he created and led the Graduate Career Services office, which provides career search and professional development services for the college’s full time and online MBA and specialty master’s degree programs as well as for students in the HCoB executive programs. A Fulbright recipient, Oprandy has a BS in Economics from the Untied States Military Academy, an MBA (EMBA) from the Harbert College of Business, an MISE and PhD in industrial and systems engineering from the Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University. His research focuses on modeling risk management in US bank holding companies. Prior to his career in higher education, he spent 17+ years in corporate leadership roles, working at companies such as American Express, General Electric, and HCA. His corporate experience is in finance, business analytics, Six Sigma process improvement, and healthcare administration. He served 5+ years as a commissioned officer and helicopter pilot in the US Army and deployed as part of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. The New Jersey native has lived in Auburn with his family for the past 20+ years and enjoys hiking, kayaking, exploring Presidential Libraries and attending Auburn sporting events.
