Professional Activities

John Gilbert joined the Harbert College of Business as an instructor in 2019.  John is a pharmaceutical executive with 25 years of industry experience. He is currently active in the industry, holding the title of Senior Vice President of Commercial for Syneos Health, a global biopharmaceutical outsourcing organization with clinical, commercial and consulting capabilities. In his role John is responsible for commercial leadership, business development, asset strategy & commercializing new brands.  He also works as a specialist standing up new companies the generic, branded pharmaceutical, and medical device space. 

John has worked with small start-ups to global pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Merck, Amgen, GSK, Novartis, Sanofi and many others.
