        Dr. Black  earned his doctorate from the University of South Carolina in May 2020 and earned bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University.

        He has a passion for research and enjoys exploring new ideas. His research examines managerial accounting topics, including measurement, incentives, and control systems. His work has been published in the Journal of Management Accounting Research. Dr. Black loves teaching and enjoys engaging with his students.
