Auburn University’s Online MBA program in the Harbert College of Business is again ranked among the nation’s elite according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual survey.
In the highly competitive space of online MBA education, Auburn’s program ranks No. 9 among the U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best Online MBA Programs. This latest ranking comes just months after Poets & Quants ranked Auburn’s online MBA program No. 2 and weeks after The Princeton Review’s ranking of the online MBA program at No. 13.
Additionally, the Harbert College of Business ranks No. 13 on the U.S. News & World Report’s list of 2019 Best Online Business Programs (non-MBA). Auburn’s non-MBA offerings include the online Master of Accountancy, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Information Systems.
The college also ranks No. 5 on U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans and No. 7 among the Best Online Graduate Business Programs for Veterans. U.S News & World Report noted that veterans and active-duty service members gain the most from distance education that is affordable, accessible and reputable.
“This ranking validates the work of our faculty in delivering a program that prepares our Online MBA and graduate business students to be impactful leaders and managers,” said Stan Harris, Associate Dean of Graduate and International Programs. “We strive to continually improve delivery of our online programs and the student experience. We are particularly proud of our combination of high quality and value pricing; our Online MBA is priced at less than half of the average program cost of the other programs in the top-10. The value proposition of an Auburn Online MBA is hard to beat.”
“At the end of the day, we want our online students to realize they are participating in top-ranked programs that produce highly-valued graduates,” Harris said.
U.S. News & World Report’s rankings are based on factors including student engagement, student excellence, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology. Nearly 300 schools offering online MBA programs provided survey data, while more than 155 schools offering online business master’s degree programs (non-MBA) responded.
“We are incredibly fortunate that our online programs attract high-quality, experienced and dedicated students from around the nation,” said Jim Parrish, Director of Full-Time and Online MBA Programs. “Our faculty and staff are committed to delivering high quality programs that warrant our students’ investment of time and money.”
“We measure success by our effectiveness in providing our online students an immersive learning experience that is the next best thing to sitting in a campus classroom.”
Auburn’s distance MBA was first offered in 1989. Auburn was among the first universities to facilitate distance learning by recording live lectures for use by students.
