Student quality and their MBA experience are among the key factors in Auburn's prominent ranking

Poets & Quants, a leader in online coverage of graduate business education, has ranked the Auburn University Online MBA No. 10 on its inaugural list of The Best Online MBA Programs.

Poets & Quants ranking badgeThis new ranking is the cornerstone feature of Poets & Quants' launch of a comprehensive Online MBA Hub, featuring a complete and searchable directory of the online programs. The hub is intended as a research tool for prospective MBA candidates. The Auburn Online MBA profile provides program statistics and an overview of curriculum, history and differentiators, as well as staff and student insights.

Poets & Quants based its ranking of the top 25 online MBA programs on three core dimensions: the quality of incoming students, an assessment by graduates of their MBA experience, and the career outcomes of program graduates.

"We are pleased that Poets & Quants’ methodology in compiling its list recognized the quality of Auburn MBA candidates and their program experience,” said Jim Parrish, director of Full-time and Online MBA programs in the Harbert College of Business. "We feel that our program attracts some of the most talented and experienced students in the nation, and we strive to provide them an enriched experience to ensure they feel very much a part of the Auburn family."

Ranking data was gathered from both school and alumni surveys. The school survey asked for a wide variety of statistics from admission standards to the availability of global immersion trips. The alumni survey, sent to MBA alumni who had graduated two years previously, sought their impressions on a wide range of topics, including the degree to which the program had fulfilled their expectations and to whether they would recommend the program to others.

“It’s satisfying to see that our graduates appreciate the overall MBA experience we deliver and the outstanding return on their investments of time, effort and money,” said Associate Dean and Luck Professor Stan Harris. “While program cost is not a factor in Poets & Quants’ ranking, Auburn’s Online MBA costs are among the lowest and is priced 38 percent lower than the average costs among other programs in the list. This combination of affordability and quality equates to an incredible value proposition for our students."

The Auburn Online MBA program was also ranked 11th in the recent U.S. News & World Report 2018 Best Online Programs ranking. This marks Auburn’s sixth straight top-12 finish in this coveted list.

Auburn Online MBA program currently enrolls more than 350 students. Having initiated its program in 1989, the college remains in the forefront of distance-based learning technology.
