Below is the text from the email she sent on February 11, 2019, with her news:
"To My Auburn Family - School of Accountancy Faculty, Students and Alumni, I wanted to be the first to share my news with you. Effective July 1, 2019, I will retire from Auburn University. It has truly been an honor to serve as Director of the Auburn MAcc program for over 25 years and to teach so many wonderful students. I have been tremendously blessed to work with amazing faculty and to serve the best and brightest students at Auburn University. After retirement, I plan to continue to live in Auburn and teach one class each fall and spring. After teaching my very first class many years ago, I knew then I had found my calling in life. Since that time, my passion for teaching and interacting with students has never wavered, and I hope to continue to make a difference in students’ lives. Thank you all for many great memories and friendships! God bless you all, and War Eagle! Amy"
