Your Accounting Degree Your Way
Earn a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) online from the comfort of your own home from
the Harbert College of Business. With options for students who have an accounting
undergraduate degree or a degree in other disciplines, the MAcc will prepare you to
be successful in the accounting profession.
Our online MAcc program offers the same instruction, faculty, assignments, and exams
as your campus peers. The courses prepare you to successfully pass the CPA Exam as
well as strengthen your technical, research, and communication skills, resulting in
an AACSB-accredited degree.
Designed for working professionals, you can complete the degree in as few as two years
(five semesters of two classes) while working full-time. Students also have the option
to pursue the degree full-time and complete the degree in quick as 12 months.
Two MAcc Options:
- Traditional MAcc - This version of the MAcc is 30-semester hours and is designed
for students who already hold an undergraduate degree in accounting (or equivalent).
- Expanded MAcc - This version of the MAcc is up to 42-semester hours and is designed
for students who hold a degree in any discipline plus completion of the eight business
foundation core classes. Completion of the accounting foundation core is not required
and students will take those courses at the graduate level instead. Course waivers
can be granted for prior completion of any of the accounting foundation core classes.
