Frequently Asked Questions about the EMBA

What is the difference between the Executive MBA and Online MBA?

The Executive MBA program is for students with at least eight years of progressively responsible experience. It is a lock–step cohort-based program which includes five short residencies at Auburn and an international experience. This program uses studio-produced course content uploaded to Auburn's student learning platform as the distance method of instruction. Since there are several residency weeks and an international trip, students have many opportunities to work with and get to know each other, as well as the faculty. The Executive MBA Program also offers concentrations in Leadership, Operations Management, Healthcare Management (for non-MDs working in any phase of the healthcare industry) and Management of Cyber Security.
