          AcademicEDGAR is a tool that helps users Search for, Extract and Normalize content from SEC EDGAR filings. It has a custom developed search engine with 9 search operators and more than 35 ways to filter documents, and offers extraction tools that help users extract search context and specific tables from those filings.

          AcademicEDGAR is hosted in the cloud. To register for an account, go here and use your Auburn e-mail address. After you register, you’ll receive instructions on how to access the data

The Creative Cloud includes access to a range of Adobe's popular creative software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and more.

          Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a program provided by Microsoft to eligible educational institutions that enables students and faculty to access a range of Microsoft developer tools and services for educational purposes.           The purpose of Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is to support technical education and help students build the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. The program provides access to cutting-edge tools and technologies, allowing students to explore new ideas, experiment with new technologies, and develop the skills they need to succeed in today's fast-paced tech industry.

        • FactSet

          FactSet provides access to real time financial data and analysis tools. This software is available online for all Harbert College of Business students.

          • Access to this software requires prior registration that may take up to 3 days to process. When registering use your Auburn provided GID@auburn.edu for the email address (aliases will not work.) When your account is ready, FactSet will send you an e-mail telling you to set a password. Disregard these instructions; you don’t need to set a password because FactSet will use Auburn’s authentication system to log you in. To login after you receive the e-mail, click either “FactSet Web” or FactSet Launch” below and use your AU username and password.
          • FactSet Web allows you to access FactSet directly from a browser. The layout will be different from the FactSet application, but you’ll have all the same features. This is the preferred version to use.
          • Factset Launch provides access to download the Factset Workstation software or run the software from a virtual machine. Note that running the software in a virtual machine requires that you first download the Citrix Receiver client, which the Launch page will provide a link for.

          In addition to checking grammar and spelling, Grammarly also provides suggestions for improving word choice, sentence structure, and tone. It supports a wide range of document types, including emails, reports, research papers, and social media posts, among others.

          Faculty who plan to use Minitab in their classes will need to send ITS a list of students so they can be granted access to the software.

          This software can be accessed from the research virtual lab or purchased for installation on employee computers.

          A few network licenses are available on a first come basis. Additional, dedicated licenses may be purchased for installation on employee computers.

Once the data is connected, Tableau Desktop provides a variety of tools for exploring and visualizing data, including drag-and-drop functionality, a large library of chart types, and advanced analytics features such as predictive modeling and trend analysis.

          Thinkcell is a software tool for creating professional-looking presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. It is designed for business users who need to create slides quickly and efficiently, and provides a range of features and templates to help streamline the process. Thinkcell provides a wide range of chart types, including bar charts, line charts, and pie charts, as well as a suite of tools for data analysis and visualization. The software integrates directly with PowerPoint, making it easy to add charts, graphs, and other visualizations to slides. Thinkcell also provides a number of time-saving features, such as automatic data updates, and the ability to reuse charts and graphs across multiple presentations.

          Installation:

          1. Download the license file from box
          2. Download the software from think-cell
          3. When prompted for license information, entherthe license key from the license file.
          4. Follow on screen instructions to complete the installation.

          Turnitin Similarity is a plagiarism detection software used by educators and institutions to check students' written work for originality and prevent plagiarism. It compares a student's submitted work against a database of sources, including web pages, books, journals, and student papers, to identify instances of overlapping text. The software then generates a report that highlights areas of the submitted paper that match the sources in the database and provides a similarity score that indicates the percentage of the paper that appears to have been taken from other sources.

          Turnitin Similarity is available to Harbert College of Business faculty through Canvas.
