        GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy

        The Auburn Online MBA program will waive the GMAT/GRE test score under the following criteria:

        Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and:

        • 2+ years of experience* AND 3.50+ GPA
        • 4+ years of experience* AND 3.25+ GPA
        • 6+ years of experience* AND 3.0+ GPA 
        • 8+ years of experience* (This level of experience also qualifies you for the Executive MBA program. Please schedule an appointment to discuss the program options available to you.)
        • Terminal Degree
        • Currently enrolled Auburn University Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students

        *Experience is defined as professional, full-time and post-undergraduate or military experience.

        Additional waiver requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Waiver requests can be completed online; however, it is advised to schedule an appointment with an admissions advisor in advance of submitting your request. 

        Important to note: Being granted a GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.

        Admission Requirements

        Before applying to the MBA Online program, you will be expected to take the GMAT or GRE (the GMAT being the preferred admissions test) unless you meet the waiver criteria above.  Auburn MBA programs do not require prerequisite courses. In lieu of prerequisite coursework, we offer a self-study materials and an online orientation that will allow you to start the program with similar and fresh foundation knowledge.  

        Application Procedure

          1. Begin your application by creating an account for the online Graduate School Application. 
            • Important: Online MBA applicants should select Distance Program option for programs of study. 
          2. Upload all required admissions documents to your application. 
            • Current résumé
            • Unofficial transcripts for all colleges and universities attended  -- Official transcripts are required if you are accepted and choose to enroll in the program.  
            • Minimum of two letters of recommendation from professional references
            • Personal statement that answers the following question: "In 1-2 pages, please summarize why you believe you are a qualified candidate for the MBA program, your motivation for pursuing an MBA at this point, and what skills you hope to gain from the MBA program."
            • Official GMAT or GRE score (may be waived if you meet criteria above) -- Scores should be sent directly from the testing agency.
          3. Auburn MBA Programs staff will base its admissions decision on review of your application. If offered admission, you will receive notification from Auburn MBA Programs and the Auburn Graduate School. You must both accept our offer of admission and pay a $250 confirmation fee to secure a spot in the upcoming class.

        Application Deadlines

        Fall 2024 Semester 

        Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect to receive a decision within three weeks of having a complete application file. For an application file to be considered complete, all required documents must be received by the dates listed below. Applying earlier allows you to receive a decision earlier, and applications will be accepted until the established deadline. 

        Priority Application Deadline April 15, 2024
        Final Application Deadline June 1, 2024

        Spring 2025 Semester 

        Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect to receive a decision within three weeks of having a complete application file. For an application file to be considered complete, all required documents must be received by the dates listed below. Applying earlier allows you to receive a decision earlier, and applications will be accepted until the established deadline.

        Final Application Deadline October 1, 2024
