        Application & Getting Started

        • What are the requirements to be accepted into the online BSBA program?

We accept transfer students and students previously enrolled at Auburn University. Transfer students must have at least 60 hours of prerequisite courses before applying to the program. If you are a few credits shy of the 60 hours, reach out to an admissions advisor to discuss your options. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

        • How do I apply?

You can apply directly on our website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the appropriate application. Be sure to submit your official college transcripts (not duplicated or faxed copies) from each college attended, including any at which you were enrolled while in high school. The preferred transcript delivery method is via E-script. E-scripts are considered official and can be sent to auburnonline@auburn.edu. If you are unable to send your transcripts via E-script, you may mail them to the following address:

          Admission Processing
1550 East Glenn Avenue, Suite 1210
          Auburn, AL 36849

How do people like me make it work?

        • What does a typical work week look like for an online BSBA student?

Our program is designed for working adults. We typically recommend students take 6 credit hours per term to meet course demands. You can except to spend 6-10 hours a week on a 3-credit hour course. This may vary course to course and more information will be provided by the instructor and course syllabus at the start of the term.

        • What happens if I need to leave the program? Can I resume my studies later?

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. If you need to take off a semester or two you can resume your studies and program when your schedule allows. If you decide to take off a year or more, it is a simple process to be readmitted. You will simply submit a one-page readmission form and you can pick up where you left off if you continue to meet admittance requirements.

        • What student resources will be available to me?

Auburn Online students will have access to Auburn University academic resources including the RBD Library (if local), virtual tutoring services, Office of University Writing, academic support, academic advising, Adobe Creative Cloud and Office 365. Auburn Online students do not have access to Tiger Transit, athletic tickets and events, the student recreation center, student organizations, and on-campus student events.

The Learning Experience and Your Future

        • How does your online program work?

The online program is broken into five 7 ½ week terms. Fall A; Fall B; Spring A; Spring B; and Summer. Our courses are 100% online and self-paced. Courses are highly engaging, and the faculty regularly work with Auburn Online instructional designers to ensure our courses are high quality.

        • Does the online format provide the same quality education offered by a traditional campus?

The online program is a convenient extension of the traditional campus experience. We work hard to make our online students feel part of the Auburn Family. There will be an online student orientation course before you begin the program. It is a non-credit course that will allow you to learn more about the history and traditions of Auburn University. You will also be assigned a Student Success Coordinator who is accessible and will be with you every step of the way.

        • As an online student, will I receive a student ID?

While not required, online Business Administration students are permitted to get a student ID called a Tiger Card. This ID will allow you to check out books or resources at the campus library if you are local. If you wish to get a Tiger Card visit the Tiger Card website for more information.

        • Will my diploma say, “online degree?”

Students in Auburn’s online bachelor’s degree completion program are held to the same standards as their residential counterparts. The rigor of the online degree is identical to our ground campus offering. Graduates of the online program receive the same degree designation and your diploma will not reflect the modality of coursework. Students are invited to participate in all graduation related ceremonies.
